Hi guys! In a few weeks the beginning of the end of Blood and Roses begins... to end! /ahem
So, waaaaaay back in September we previewed the concept sketch that Oishii made for the refreshed Frydae and, today, the vampire lord's artwork is finally done (and it might mysteriously find its way to Book 1)!

Today we need to go over something important. It's so important I'm devoting a whole DN post about it because it needs to be covered. How to report a bug.
First off. Clear your Browser Cache! Flash uses a caching system. That means your computer saves old info so it loads things faster. If we rolled a fix to a bug and your cache still has the old info you WILL NOT get the fix! You should try and clear your cache at least once a month, but if you're reporting a bug clear your cache first, THEN try to get the bug to happen again. If it doesn't that means we most likely fixed it. If it does still happen then yes you should report it. To figure out how to clear the cache of the browser you're using a quick google search will show you how!
Now, if you've cleared your cache and the bug is still happening that's when you should report it.

Ryunn, DragonFable's own official illustrious fan illustrator, has created something for the Gremoglimsters release!
"Lim said they were helpful at first so maybe they should just make up and Lim can have more helpers! :^) (so long as there's no more food haha)"

A note from Elryn:
I would like to let you know that the end of Espina Rosa will not come this week and that instead it will be due for another week (not next week). I know we said in the last DNs we were going to do it this week however between Tomix not feeling too well and my mild burnout from my Terran analog’s new job, we decided best to postpone it to the next available date. There will be a light release this week instead (make sure to wish Tomix well!).
In the mean time, I will make sure to brush up on the script as much as possible. After all, you will not be able to leave Espina Rosa without facing the final boss of the Fortress.
When that comes, I hope you are ready for a difficult battle, Hero.
San Robin has a short quest for us for Friday and the Espina Rosa finale will be coming in a couple weeks!

This week you finally break free of the shackles of the Espina Rosa! Will you be able to see all your friends to freedom? Or will the thorns of the Rose dig in and hold them prisoner?
We don't have art from the quest ready for you to preview just yet... but ryunn has made some amazing fan art about the Espina Rosa saga that we wanted to share!

Hey guys! I've been working on AE's mobile games for the past few years but THIS FRIDAY I'm returning to AQW for a special guest release that I designed. Close your eyes and picture this...
OK, you can't read with your eyes closed. I see the problem.
Change of plan... keep reading but picture yourself with your eyes closed picturing this: The village of Deadmoor has been a ghost town for as long as anyone can remember. Some really bad stuff went down here and we're a few hundred years late to the party but it's never too late to try and right the wrongs of the past. I made friends with the ghost of a little girl who died here. Her voice was stolen when she was brutally murdered by the townspeople. If you can help me return her stolen screams, then I'll give you the chance to earn my own personal, Mad Weaponsmith armor and my super hammer! There will also be a bunch of other rewards if you're not a fan of green, but you look like a player with some taste... so you like green.
Getting off topic... Come to Deadmoor, help me help her. Learn the secrets of Deadmoor's terrible past and you'll get to learn a little bit more about me too (if you're interested. It's optional). The adventure in Deadmoor starts THIS FRIDAY in AQW! Don't let me down.

Today's release is being pushed until tomorrow, sorry guys.
I woke up today with a runny nose, been sneezing all day and now I'm feverish.
I know I get sick a lot, my immune system is pretty much non existant and Geo is always suggesting that I should live in a bubble :c
The release will be coming out tomorrow... and in worst case scenario, on sunday.
Again, I'm sorry.

Greetings! Just wanted to give you all a heads up on a couple of things.
First off, I've just updated the Exp Curve for Exp Needed to Next Level for 60-80. This means that it won't take as long to level up anymore at the higher levels. It'll still take a while, but this should hopefully make it less of a pain to do so. No, this does not mean the Level Cap is going up any time soon. I just wanted to make it less of a hassle as many of you were complaining it took far too long, and those complaints were justified.
Many of you were also expecting a curse after the loss of the last war. There was an issue getting it in place. The short version is the curse coding itself works, along with the temp item to remove it per login, and the coding to make it scale based on your level. However the coding to actually SHOW when it's working doesn't because of how the game was originally designed. Due to that I decided to not turn it on at all. While I could have turned it on at any point, it was not fair to do if you didn't KNOW it was happening. That, combined with the reaction to the other event that occured during the war (which honestly drew a lot bigger of a response than any of us thought...because for some reason the bread lady with no previous character development AT ALL was important to a lot of you), meant that it wasn't something I felt should happen. If it could have been made to work we would have, but I didn't want to release something that only worked halfway. We'll come up with something else for later wars and I'll keep working on other possible ways to show that things are affecting your character.

Retro Arcade Game Made in a Day
If you thought Flappy Bird was hard, you gotta try this app. It is hard, retro, hard, simple and super hard. Lasting 10 seconds pretty much means you are a gaming god. Tell you what. Get over 1,000 points and the entire internet will bow down before you claiming you are the ultimate gaming god of the universe.

The date is just right... almost Friday the 13th but nooooot quite. The darkness and shadow of unluckiness swirls but your own luck can still hold out. You need to find out more about Valtrith which means finding the lost tomb of his warrior clan... and an old friend might be willing to help you out!

Greetings! I'm back for gift number 2! If you check the Book of Lore you'll find a Birthday shop with two trinkets inside! These summon a simulacrum of the legendary Destiny Dragon, a being of great power who you may or may not have met before.
I worked for quite a while on getting these two done, but I'm not Tomix so if they don't look perfect that's why. I did my best though so I hope you like them!

As the week rolls on, the shadows are getting a little bit darker. Your luck is getting a little bit thinner... but it might just be enough for what you need to do. This Friday, you see, isn't a 13th. It's Friday the 12th and, despite the spectre of unluckiness in the air, the time isn't right for the full force of the tragic and the luckless to afflict you.
Friday the 12th is just the right date to investigate though, while unluckiness permeates the air but hasn't quite taken over. It's just the right date to find the entrance to the lost Valtrith Tomb. Just right to open the door... if you can find the door that is.
Who would be able to help us find and explore a tomb that's been lost for 600 years?

Greetings! Tomorrow is a very big day for all of us on the DF team. It's DF's 9th Birthday! If you count it all up, that's around 468 releases since DF first launched! (give or take a few) Last year we gave you all the final 3 Primal Forms that you were missing, and this year we wanted to do something just as big. Your first gift of the week is a revamp of the dragon pets and guests! Yep, that's right! I worked on getting the coding inside them all cleaned up, bugs fixed and everything adjusted, while Verly worked on all the hidden stuff in the Engine to make it all work right with the new coding.
The pet has been changed so that ALL of the skills are able to activate with just 1 point placed into a skill. They scale though, so the more points you invest the better the effect!
The guest got a major overhaul, more so than the pet. It now no longer does the random effects on a basic attack. You can now CHOOSE which skill tree you want to use with the buttons on the left side. These have dynamic cooldowns though based on the strength of the effect, just like a normal guest has, but the direct control of "I need a heal or shield" or "I really need a nerf this turn" is very powerful considering it has more effects than any other guest in the game. You'll also notice a few buttons on the right side. These are capstone skills. You must have fully trained a skill tree, 200 points trained, to unlock these. They will do an even MORE powerful combination effect based on the lower effects in the tree but, they have slightly longer cooldowns to make up for it.
The dragon skill training panel has also recieved a large facelift. This took a bit for me to do since I'm not an artist but, with advice from Niki and Verly on what should be on the panel, I constructed something that should give you all the info about the skills you'll need! (The progress bar at the top was not fun to get working right. So much numbering. T.T)
The changes to the pets and guests should give you a nice little boost in terms of overall survivablity and hopefully you like the changes we made to them. I know I spent waaaaayyyy longer on these than I thought I would have had to, but they work a lot better now then they did before code wise. This isn't all though! Oh no. We have several other gifts and things planned for this week! The quest we have planned for Friday is going to be extra epic as well. It may not be Friday the 13th, but that's a good thing considering what you're going to get to do! Geo won't like it if I spoil too much though! I'll see you guys on Wednesday with another surprise!

This week we continue with the Book 3 Amityvale arc!
After running through the Doomwood, searching for Thursday frantically through enemy camps, confronting dangerous foes and, ultimately, going back to Amityvale empty handed... the vampire queen is now summoning you back to her castle at the request of Thursday! What does her Highness have hidden up her elegant sleeve? Why has she kept Thursday hidden? What will you find on the shore of that blood red lake...?

The Queen of Darkovia has requested your presence. This Friday... I wouldn't keep her waiting.
